Porcelain tiles can be used in a wide variety of applications, and come in an astonishing range of styles, formats, and finishes. On a practical note, porcelain tiles are stronger and more durable, less prone to corrosion or staining, and more slip and water penetration resistant than natural marble and stone. Most do not require sealing or polishing, and are ultimately more cost effective. Most porcelain tiles are virtually free of maintenance, other than the regular typical cleaning requirements of a home, office or work place. Porcelain has very high resistance to abrasion, is not likely to chip under normal circumstances, and is highly durable for both domestic and commercial installations.
